PRIVACY POLICY
TenTwenty
What TenTwenty does with your information, in full — there is nothing beyond this page.
TenTwenty has no accounts, runs no analytics or ad tracking, and has no server that stores your location or your shift recordings. Your location is used live, on your device, to show your block and street. Everything that does leave your device — and exactly who it goes to — is listed below.
LOCATION DATA
TenTwenty uses your device's location, while the app is in use, to show your current street, block number, cross street, direction of travel, and position on the map. This is the app's core function and can only be disabled by turning off location access entirely (Settings app → Privacy & Security → Location Services).
Your location is used in three ways:
- On your device. Block-number calculation, heading, speed, and the map display all happen locally and never leave your phone.
- Apple's mapping and geocoding services. TenTwenty uses Apple's MapKit and reverse-geocoding services to resolve street addresses and provide turn-by-turn navigation. This is governed by Apple's own privacy policy — we never see or store the results.
- OpenStreetMap's Overpass API, a public service operated by a third party (overpass-api.de), not by us. Near an intersection or highway exit, TenTwenty sends your approximate coordinates to this service to look up nearby cross streets and exit numbers. This is the only network request TenTwenty makes to a service we don't control. Turn it off anytime in Settings → Data → “Cross streets & exits (OpenStreetMap)” — the app still shows your block and street without it.
SHIFT RECORDINGS AND EXPORTS
If you use TenTwenty's recording feature, the GPS track, timestamps, and any notes are saved only on your device. We never receive a copy, and there is no cloud backup — delete the app or lose your phone, and that recording is gone unless you exported it first.
Exporting a PDF or CSV report uses your phone's normal share sheet — email, AirDrop, your department's system, wherever you choose to send it. That's your data at that point; TenTwenty and UTL never see it.
APPLE WATCH
If you use the TenTwenty Watch app, your current block, road, GPS status, and heading are relayed directly from your iPhone to your paired Watch over Apple's WatchConnectivity framework — a direct device-to-device connection that never touches a server, ours or anyone else's.
SIRI AND HANDS-FREE COMMANDS
Voice commands and the Action Button are processed by Apple's on-device App Intents system. We never receive a transcript, recording, or log of what you asked.
ACCOUNTS
TenTwenty has no user accounts. We don't collect your name, email, or any identifying information as part of using the app.
SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENT
TenTwenty Pro subscriptions are billed and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment card details. Apple may share limited transaction information with us — for example, that a subscription is active — as described in Apple's own privacy policy.
ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING
TenTwenty contains no analytics software development kits, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We have no way to see how you use the app beyond what's described above.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
TenTwenty is a professional tool built for law enforcement officers and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date at the top. A material change — anything that changes what data we collect or how it's used — will be called out clearly, not buried in a date change.
