WHAT IT DOES
Deployed is the paperwork half of K9 work, which is most of it. Training sessions, deployments, certifications, medical and vaccination history, equipment — and the reports that have to come back out of all of it. Five tabs: Home, Training, Deployments, Records, Reports.
iOS today. An Android build is planned — plenty of handlers aren't carrying an iPhone, and a records tool that only works on half a unit isn't much of a records tool.
LOGGED LIVE, NOT RECONSTRUCTED
A session timer runs during training, with pause, and the exercise picker is scoped to the discipline being worked. The record gets written while the dog is working.
That is the whole design argument. Records reconstructed at the end of a shift are records written from memory, and a defense attorney will ask when you wrote them.
CERTIFICATION AND REPORTS
USPCA patrol and narcotics certification tracking, with expiry in view rather than discovered. Reports generate as PDF over a date range; records export as PDF, CSV or Word.
OFFLINE FIRST
The app is fully usable with no account, and that is the default rather than a degraded mode. Signing in adds cloud backup and training groups.
Records sync up but the app cannot yet pull them back down onto a new device. Export is the documented answer until it can, and it is stated plainly in the app's privacy policy rather than discovered after a phone dies.
WHAT IT TALKS TO
- Supabase
- Postgres and file storage, scoped per handler
- Resend
- sign-in codes
- Open-Meteo
- conditions attached to a record, coordinates only
- LocalAuthentication
- Face ID and passcode lock, on device
DATA
Device first. Signing in adds cloud backup and training groups; without it nothing leaves the phone.
Training groups share a roster and what gets published to them. Personal training records, deployments and medical history are never shared with a group — joining one gives nobody access to them.
